The Quintessential English Inn, The Barsham Arms
Set in the picturesque village of East Barsham and adjacent to the magnificent East Barsham Manor, The Barsham Arms (formerly The White Horse Inn) is a classic, cosy country pub and kitchen serving fresh, locally sourced 100% home cooked food.
Sympathetically restored, the interior incorporates traditional features, including original beams and open fireplaces. You’ll spot British influences as well as English gentry in keeping with the age of the building.
The restaurant offers pub classics with a modern twist, using quality fresh and locally sourced ingredients cooked to order and served professionally by a team of dedicated and passionate Chefs. Alongside the main menu, there is a light bites snack menu, and on Sundays, we serve traditional roasts.
Restaurant and bar is integrated with a small private dining area available in the hayloft. Children are welcome in the restaurant and areas in the bar, with their own menu choices, and well behaved dogs are welcome throughout.
The free house also offers bed and breakfast and holiday cottage accommodation for those looking to explore the beautiful countryside and nearby coastal area of North Norfolk.
East Barsham is just two miles from the ancient pilgrimage site and atmospheric historical buildings of Walsingham, a pilgrimage site since 1061. The thriving market town of Fakenham, which boasts a National Hunt racecourse and the Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, is a similar distance.
North Norfolk’s Heritage Coast, an area of outstanding natural beauty with unspoilt beaches, nature reserves and charming villages, is easily accessible, with the colourful quayside of Wells-next-the-Sea and the magnificent Holkham Hall within seven miles. The medieval port town of King’s Lynn is a thirty-five minute drive.
